As frustration crept in members went for any crop they thought fit, resulting in the store seeing pretty much every crop and variety there is. So many different products and varieties does slow the store down but it has given us a good cross section of crop to gain quality info.
The wheats are considerabley better than we expected based on the problems with Winter Barley, with good proteins and good specific weights. Black tips in the wheat could cause problems and we are monitoring the situation closely but as yet we are not to concerned.
In the Spring Barley we are still seeing high levels of skinning and suspect that the Propino3 and Irina3 could well be feed. Whilst ther has been an issue in the field, some crops have perhaps not been treated as gentley as they could have been by the combines.
